Booth Movers began in 1945 when William Booth opened a moving company at 436 Walker Street in Fairview, New Jersey. What started as a local moving business serving Bergen and Hudson counties has grown into one of New Jersey's longest-established moving and storage companies.
In 1973, ownership passed to the second generation under Douglas Padla. Under Doug's leadership, Booth continued to grow and became deeply involved in New Jersey's professional moving industry. His industry involvement was substantial enough that he received the New Jersey Warehousemen and Movers Association's Bruce Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award after nearly 17 years of board service, including serving as president. In 2008, Adam Padla and Lindsay Padla-Sanborn became the third generation to lead Booth Movers, continuing a tradition built around professional moving, personal service and involvement in New Jersey's moving industry.
Over more than eight decades, Booth Movers has operated from locations in Fairview, Hackensack, Carlstadt and Moonachie while helping tens of thousands of New Jersey families and businesses relocate.
